![]() Another feature that was present in their game Pit People, but not this one is the ability to make and save loadouts. The lack of this feature annoys me especially since in The Behemoth's previous game Pit People, they had a feature to sort your units by type. First this game has no way to sort any items by their stats, meaning that you have to manually scroll through every head/weapon/boost you have just to look for the specific stats you want. Next I want to talk about some basic quality of life features that this game lacks. The last thing I want to bring up here is the fact that this game lacks i-frames, which might not seem like that big of a deal, but on insane mode it can lead you to going from full hp to dead in an instant, even outside of insane mode, it's possible to just get juggled by projectiles and die, which I feel to a casual or new player could be very annoying and disheartening Not to mention the final boss you can only fight once per save compared to the other bosses that you can fight as many times as you'd like. The bosses themselves all feel very bland and aren't really a challenge to deal with, this is evident by the fact that the easiest part of doing insane mode was the bosses. Next I'll talk about the bosses, which you either fight at an HQ or if you're unlucky you'll have to fight one during a level. As for gathering intel, because you're required to do it at least twice per level, it becomes this chore that you're forced to endure when you have to do it for the millionth time. These are the only 3 types of task you'll get, and after a couple hours of gameplay they very quickly become repetitive. As for what those task are, they can be summed up as either grab item and bring it to a spot, kill x amount of purple enemies, or survive for x seconds. Essentially every level is just completing tasks and killing enemies until you can leave, and it's always the same pattern, intel, then a random task, then gather intel again, then another task, then you'll be able to either leave the level or gather intel a third time then do one final task. ![]() Every level pretty much feels exactly the same, the only levels that change things up are the key door levels, which are few and far between and don't make up for the lacking gameplay. I want to preface this review by saying that I am a big fan of The Behemoth and their previous games, however as unfortunate as it is, I just don't have that same love for this game and I'll be going into why here.įirstly I'll go into the gameplay, and how it's incredibly repetitive with little to no variety.
